Safe Hands Carers
Caring in Kent for 20 years
Our Staff Training
All Safe Hands care workers are highly trained and dedicated to dealing with the unique and differing needs of those who use our services.
Before a new member of staff starts work they attend a full induction programme including a careworker orientation to role, and mandatory training sessions such as Moving & Handling and Health & Safety.
Staff then shadow another carer out in the community and specific tasks are covered and explained as a part of the shadowing.
Further and detailed training is then attended during 12 weeks of starting with us covering First Aid, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding Adults, Medication and Dementia Awareness.
Specialist courses available include conditions such as Epilepsy, Diabetes, Stroke, MS and Arthritis awareness and these courses are scheduled according to carer and client needs.
We are Investor in People recognised which demonstrates a real commitment to our staff and their training.
Our staff work to the regulatory Codes of Practice including the General Social Care Council and our offices are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
We undertake regular assessments of our staff to ensure total compliance giving you peace of mind and reassurance.
